Airfied Tandoori Chicken

Air fried tandoori chicken is easy to prepare - just marinate chicken thigh in tandoori spices and yogurt, coat with rice flour and air fry. The result - tender pieces of spicy chicken with a crispy coating. Simply love this recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 pc chicken thigh (cut into bite size pieces)

  • Marinade:

    • 1/2 cup yogurt

    • 1 tbsp lemon juice

    • 1/2 tsp allspice

    • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

    • 1/2 tsp chilli powder

    • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

    • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

    • 1/2 tsp turmeric

    • 1 tsp sweet paprika

    • 1” pc of ginger (grated)

    • 2 cloves of garlic (grated)

    • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup rice flour

  • 1 tbsp rice bran oil

METHOD

  1. Prepare the marinade by mixing all the marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl.

  2. Place chicken pieces into the marinade. Mix well. Leave to marinate for 30 mins.

  3. Dip the marinated chicken pieces into rice flour, ensuring that each piece is fully coated.

  4. Sprinkle oil over the coated chicken pieces.

  5. Place in air fryer basket and fry for 10 mins at 200°C. Flip chicken pieces over and continue to air fry for another 10 mins until golden.
