INGREDIENTS
- 1 pork tenderloin pork fillet
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove (chopped)
- MARINADE:
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- SAUCE:
- 2 tsp low salt soy sauce
- 1/4 cup (4 Tbsp) honey
- 1 tsp mirin
METHOD
- Sprinkle the marinade over the pork. Massage the seasoning into the pork and leave for 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180⁰C.
- Heat the oil in a cast iron pan. Add the marinated pork and sear until golden.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour the sauce in. Turn pork once, then immediately transfer to the oven.
- Bake in the oven until the internal temperature reaches 68⁰C (about 15 minutes).
- Remove the pork onto a serving plate and cover loosely with foil. Rest it for 5 minutes.
- Heat the pan with the sauce and simmer until the liquid reduces down to thin syrup (about 3 minutes).
- Put pork in and turn to coat with the sauce.
- Slice pork into thick slices and serve with the sauce.
